Laura Paxton's Recommended Sensory Diet Tools

 sleeping, eating, bathing, playing..

I've provided links to my favorite "sensory diet" tools. My particular nervous system needs more proprioceptive input, so chewing gum and crunching very crunchy chips helps me a lot. I'm on a gluten-free diet, but certainly not deprived for good foods. The chips below are natural but they crunch great! Oh, and Pamela's double chocolate cookies are gluten-free, but honestly the best I've ever had. The link below allows buying them cheaper in bulk!

I find the chocolate bubble bath to be soothing, but the chocolote mint icecream bubble bath is stimulating. Lavender oil and the vanilla mousse hand cream are my very favorite tools to use when I am under stress. I love to use the trampoline at my occupational therapist's office. I'm considering between the two models below. One has a bar which may be helpful for problems with dyspraxia and balance. HEAVY lap boards tend to be soothing for many with SID. The lap desk featured below has a shipping weight of around 5 pounds. Anything fleece is wonderful to use, as a wrap around or lap cloth. I could find no weighted blankets on Amazon, but I will provide links on other web-sites very soon!
